Spliced Energy
Sept. 1st - Oct. 30th, 2021.
Interconnectivity is not a profound nor new idea, yet it blankets our world. Everything in our universe is interconnected, spliced with energy from our surroundings. Similar to systems in our environment, like tree roots, the mycelium network, and the structures of our very cells, the chosen works in this exhibition flow together to create a larger snapshot of our reality.
Illuminated
July 9th - Aug. 30th, 2021.
Throughout this collection of work, light is interrogated in its ability to create compositional movement, tell a story, and inspire emotions - with each artist uniquely casting the power of light through their own approach. Beyond focusing on light as a natural phenomenon, this exhibition draws attention to the fabrication of light in art and its place in contemporary abstraction.
People Places Things
June 15th - July 15th, 2021.
Selected from works submitted by over 100 artists, People Places Things, presents a diverse group of 34 artists who reflect and reconsider art history’s most timeless subjects – the figure, the landscape, and the common object – as a lens through which to address contemporary issues ranging from identity and human migration to changing urban spaces and the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Alternative States
May 3rd - June 30th, 2021.
In The Alternative States, the artists reveal the fruits of creative labor produced as a result of dissociation from reality. In twenty-four works, fifteen artists introduce the world through their eyes, initiating the viewers' fall into the space of distraction and fantasy.
Multitudes
March 1st - April 30th, 2021.
Multitudes is an exhibition of printmakers from mixed-race backgrounds that presents a broader portrait of racialized identities. This exhibition shares a constellation of distinct narratives that defy easy categorization, to question, in this country, and in this time, what it means to be multiracial.
Eternal Flame
Jan. 1st - Feb. 28th, 2021.
Eternal Flame, curated by artist and guest curator Cara Lynch, draws inspiration from the famous Yule log of the long-celebrated winter holiday season. The works in the show flicker for a love lost, memorialize a moment of ritual, burn with desire, warn us of impending disaster, remind us of our own mortality, and offer new possibilities as we rise from the ashes of 2020.
In The Cool of the Evening
Oct. 30th - Dec. 30th, 2020.
In the Cool of the Evening is an exhibition that celebrates the ideals behind the long celebrated pagan holiday of All Hallows Eve in a time when celebration must remain socially and physically distanced. The included artists have been chosen due to their exploration of themes often associated with the holiday such as mystery, elevated spirituality, and a complicated history with the occult.
